It is witnessed throughout 1.5 years of Nawaz Sharif’s government that justice is a luxury one cannot afford in Pakistan anymore, Imran Khan who we always saw chanting about elections being rigged tried knocking every door like election tribunal, Supreme Court of Pakistan but justice was delayed and denied.
So on 14th August he launched a different strategy to acquire justice, He asked the members of his party to come forward and march towards Islamabad to record protest against heavily rigged elections and to return only when Nawaz Sharif resigns for justice to be served fairly .
Rounds of negotiations were failed between government & Imran khan after his constant stance that PM Nawaz Sharif should step down to ensure fair investigations of elections 2013
Pakistan has never witnessed this kind of demonstration of people protesting against the government on such a large-scale being peaceful for 17 days around important state buildings . Majority of them are young and educated Pakistanis followed by large numbers of women and toddlers questioning the government of their credibility in last elections
We are not talking about 100’s of people protesting but thousands and thousands of them protesting against the military rule of Nawaz Sharif disguised as democracy which is further explained on 18th day
on 30th August when protestors were ordered to March peacefully towards Parliament house or Prime minister house to record their protest even further , State Police and law enforcement agencies started shelling hitting rubber bullets to peaceful protestors , blowing their heads with wooden sticks , beating anything they can get their hands on .
Pakistan is said to be the nightmare for journalist in all parts of the country as in capital journalist of 7 channels were beaten , their cameras and vans were attacked by state police , because they are highlighting the democracy of Nawaz Sharif .
So far 300 protestor are injured and two dead reported from the sources , and the mishandling still continues , Being a Pakistani it really hurts that a country which came into existence for Unity faith & discipline has none of it left , It is said that democracy is the best solution always but if this is the fate of democracy in Pakistan, I prefer boots on Pakistani soil and I demand it soon before things get worse .
